E-Type Heritage
The brief:
Jaguar wanted to produce a film to promote their Classic restoration and dealership facility and in particular the focus on the E type Jaguar that would be celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Our challenge:
When shooting with cars that are worth well over a million pounds and up to 60 years old, we had to be very careful with location choice and shot selection.
Jaguar required some on board shots of the car, inside and on the body so road surface and camera placement all had to be carefully thought about before production.
Our solution:
Because we couldn’t attach traditional suckers or clamps to the car for our cameras due to the precious bodywork, we rigged specialist grip equipment to a tracking vehicle that allowed cameras to shoot close to the car capturing details without compromising the bodywork. We also used a specialist camera gimble so our DOP could shoot inside the car without having to attach to any fragile bodywork allowing us to get some fantastic shots showing the interior of the car in all its glory.
