Used Approved x Wes Nelson

The brief:

Mercedes-Benz required an online commercial to promote their Approved Used cars collaborating with well known influencer Wes Nelson from Love Island, the film needed to create a buzz with their target audience and would be used on Wes Nelsons social media as well as all social media platforms including Instagram, facebook and twitter.

Our challenge:

The storyboarding and creative treatment for the film was based around Wes and his passion for music. The biggest challenge was trying to show Wes in the studio plus driving the car while telling a story in a 15 sec commercial.  We were also shooting at night in London sand only had Wes for a few hours, so creating a route that was as traffic free as possible was a challenge for our location managers.

Our solution:

Having Wes for only a short time on the day meant preparation was key, having all the shots lit and rehearsed meant we were completely ready to go well before crunch time. Our location managers also did a thorough run through of the route the night before filming to make sure we were able to get the essence of a metropolitan city at night but without being snarled up in traffic for hours.
