The brief:
INP Media were commissioned to produce a film and photography that would capture a very unusual event.
smart converted the new forfour to incorporate solid wheels so it could run as a mini ‘train’ on the 10-mile stretch of the Bluebell railway line and take passengers on an unforgettable journey.
Our challenge:
Working on a live network takes planning, precise timing, a strict adherence to health and safety and creatively thinking outside the box. Limitations to where the crew can shoot from on the network, when the car could run and what equipment could be used were all challenges throughout the shoot.
Our solution:
Communication, planning and common sense were vital to the smooth running and success of the shoot. Our Director had a clear idea of what he wanted to achieve, and following a recce and clear communication with the railway network team, a precise planning schedule was created. On the day, the experienced crew worked seamlessly together allowing INP Media to capture some fantastic content while keeping the network team happy and the trains running on time.
