Good Food Festival Live

The brief:

Due to Covid-19, The Waitrose Food and Drink Festival couldn’t go ahead but the brand still wanted to put on something special for their customers. INP Media were asked to produce a virtual week-long festival of content and programming that Waitrose and Partners customers could interact with and watch combining, cooking, cocktail-making and celebrity cook a long’s and interviews.

Our challenge:

We needed to create a large amount of content that could be scheduled across a week of viewing that would be entertaining, interactive and premium for the client. There were many challenges to the project. From having to keep to a tight budget, shooting live with a reduced crew due to Covid restrictions and producing pre-recorded content at multiple locations across the UK while still creating a premium coherent style and feel to all the programming.

Our solution:

For this project we needed to combine the skills of our excellent live team plus our experienced commercial and branded content teams. Between them we were able to produce an entertaining and premium content schedule for the week. Combining live studio cook a long’s, cocktail making sessions, interviews and presenter led pieces with some of the top chefs in the UK, we were able to produce a diverse schedule of programming that gave viewers a unique opportunity to interact, plus try their hand at recipes and dishes they may not have tried before. The festival was such a success Waitrose and Partners are already planning another Virtual festival this year.
